What do the residents say?

‘How can I explain Wivenhoe? I’ll tell you about a typical Saturday in Summer. I wake up to fresh sea air and sunshine flooding through my open windows, pop to the next road and visit the local dehli to buy fresh bread and delicious bits for breakfast. We then might take children out on their bikes – I can recommend the Wivenhoe Trail. Or perhaps get the dinghy in the water. Late afternoon, we meet friends in the Black Buoy for a few drinks and a bite to eat and watch the sunset. Bliss’

‘Wivenhoe’s community spirit is unique. Did you know that the residents actually came together to buy the pub so we didn’t lose it?’

‘I commute into London for work – the train station is only a 3-minute walk from my house. The journey is easy. I have to say, we also take advantage of the excellent train and bus services to Colchester if we want to go further afield when we head out for dinner.’
